Ashford Castle wins fifth Ireland’s Best Hotel Spa at World Spa Awards

THE West of Ireland was awake when Ashford Castle recently won the Best Hotel Spa for the fifth time at the World Spa Awards 2020.

Voted the best in Ireland by spa industry professionals, senior executives, travel buyers and the public, The Spa in the 800-year-old castle in Cong, County Mayo began marking success in its luxury facilities five years ago and hasn’t looked back.

“Having won this award for four years in a row we are thrilled that so many people have once again voted for The Spa at Ashford Castle,” said Ashford Castle Spa Manager Michelle Ryan. “It is an amazing honour but more importantly is testament to our skilled therapists and all the team at The Spa who ensure each guest’s visit is truly special.”

The prestigious award was announced at the end of October following record voting by consumers and professionals within the spa and wellness industry. The World Spa Awards celebrate excellence in the industry’s best venues around the world, competing at the highest of standards.

“Our state-of-the-art spa is built into the side of an 800-year-old castle with spectacular views both inside and out,” added Michelle Ryan. “We provide truly unique treatments such as the bespoke Ashford Castle Ritual, all of which combine to create an experience like no other and we are delighted to have that recognised on a global level.”
