Bordeaux 2016: just released – Ch. Gazin, Pomerol

Ch. Gazin is firing all cylinders in 2016 – the nose is rich and pronounced, with blueberry and damson fruit to the fore, espresso bean and dark plum in the background. The palate builds slowly and broadens out into a richness of black forest fruit. The tannins and acidity are very well integrated, with the tannins having a great textural feel. Depth and yet lift all in one place. This has great polish.
