Château Pavie Macquin, St Emilion
This has a great nose, with the plummy Merlot and the raspberry-and-mint-fruited Cabernet Franc vying for attention. Linear and fine on the palate, this has great energy and complexity, with delicious red and black fruit notes. It’s very ripe, with fine tannins, well-judged acidity and great length – building to an elegant, luscious finish. Drink 2023-2040+.
