Collision – Your day two women in tech roundup
Day two did not disappoint. The level of energy in the Enercare Centre today was electric, and our female attendees were out in force once again
“Sex, phones, and robots”
We were running to the Auto/Tech + TalkRobot stage for an all-female panel on the assimilation of robots into humanity’s future. Industry legends Rosanna Myers, Janet Lieberman-Lu, Falon Fatemi, Alisyn Malek, and Amber Mac, took the stage to discuss robotics’ impact on our jobs, relationships, design, and more. The stage was packed from wall to Wall-E (sorry).
Night Summit
Another amazing turnout last night at Night Summit. We explored the iconic Distillery District, centre of culture and the arts in Toronto, and the perfect place to pick up that conversation you left on the exhibition floor. Our attendees packed out El Catrin, Mill Street Pub, and the Beer Hall, and still managed to rally for an energy-filled day two – colour us impressed.
Tonight, get ready for Collision’s 2019’s biggest party, kicking off at 8pm and run in partnership with Drop. We’ll be taking over the Esplanade, with bars like Goose Island Brewhouse, Bier Markt, and Scotland Yard Pub reserved for Collision attendees. See you there!
Sustainability takes the spotlight
Ocean degradation is arguably the most critical issues of our time, and startups all over the world are stepping up to solve it. One of the most fascinating we’ve seen at Collision so far is Loliware, led by Chelsea Fawn Briganti. Loliware is using seaweed technologies to replace single-use plastics, and their “straw of the future” is completely biodegradable.
