Newbridge Silverware – Sharing Special Memories
Tony Tunney spent 62 years working in Newbridge Silverware only retiring two years ago at the age of 76. Sadly Tony passed away recently after a short illness. He was originally from Mayo but moved to Kildare in his teens. Tony started working at what was then called the ‘Newbridge Cutlery Company’ in the 1950’s – he even met his wife, Celine in the factory, his daughter Emma still works here and his granddaughter Sarah has also worked in the business during her school holidays.
His many friends and colleagues remember a man who was an integral part of the factory and who dedicated his whole working life working at what is now known as Newbridge Silverware
