Marlborough’s exotic styles of Sauvignon Blanc have soared in popularity in recent years.

Its more subtle rivals from the Loire, however, haven’t made as many headlines. But the complex soils of Pouilly-Fumé, along with its neighbour Sancerre, produce elegant, mineral expressions of Sauvignon that are well worth shouting about.

This example, from 10th-generation grower Sophie Landrat-Guyollot offers layers of citrus and tropical fruit, with a taut, mineral palate. It’s down 30% in our Sale, making it just £11.55 a bottle.
