Irish Film Institute – NOW BOOKING: 2019 IFI Documentary Festival
The programme for the IFI’s 2019 Documentary Festival, its 17th, has been announced. Featuring fifteen features, including 10 Irish premieres, and its perennially popular Irish shorts programme, the festival will once again showcase the very best of Irish and international documentary filmmaking.
The event runs from Wednesday, September 25th to Sunday, September 29th. Full programme information and tickets are now available from www.ifi.ie/docfest.
Highlights of this year’s line-up include the world premiere of Peter Kelly’s Journey to the Edge, Paul Duane’s Best Before Death featuring a live performance in-screen from Bill Drummond and Tam Dean Burn, opening film The Amazing Johnathan Documentary, and global housing documentary Push.
Individual tickets cost €11.50, with a multi-film pass available of 5 festival films for €50. Tickets for The Amazing Johnathan Documentary, which includes a post-screening reception cost €15. Tickets for Best Before Death cost €18.
