Christmas is coming to Castletown House in County Kildare
THE Country Market & Craft Fair at Castletown House in Celbridge, County Kildare will welcome the festive holiday season on Sunday, 24th November when more than 80 artisan handcrafters and food producers gather in the Courtyard and Stables of the historic Palladian-style home built in the 18th century by William ‘Speaker’ Connolly and his wife, Lady Louisa.

In the stalls will be many of the solutions to just about any Christmas wish list, from bespoke metalwork designs including fine jewellery and semi-precious stones and one-of-a-kind fashions along with knitwear for adults and children, a festive feast of Christmas decorations, locally produced foods, candles and original design accessories.

“It has been a very busy season from when we opened last March, very successful,” said Linda Byrne, Events Coordinator at the OPW owned Castletown House. “There will be a live crib and a good mix of stalls for our Christmas Market, and we don’t know for sure as Santa may be very busy, but we are hoping to see him and keeping our fingers crossed.”
