Splash Paris for SS20 2019 in Paris
With winter season rapidly approaching, some of us forget that Resort-wear and Cruise collections are landing in stores by the end of November. Splash Paris, the premium Resort-wear trade show set up by the beautiful Alexandre III bridge in Paris caters for the demand of creative designs that you would like to bring on your winter holidays in the sun.
Organized by Claret Showrooms, Splash offered this September a space to 37 brands to showcase their products to crowds of professionals and clients who flew from across the world to attend Paris Fashion Week. Pynck picked a few that demonstrated outstanding quality, designs and timelessness.

NANNACAY
Handmade and sustainable – @nannacay
« Nãnākay » is of Quechua origin Aimara and literally means brotherhood of women. Marcia Kemp, the founder of this social fashion project aimed her designs not only as meeting her criteria of beauty and taste, but also at casting light on the wonderful craftsmanship of the artisans from Peru making her bags. The pieces are unique, one bag is never the same as another and all are obviously hand-made. Pynck’s eye was drawn to both the quirky and natural shapes of the bags but also to the deep pigment used to colour the straw or the crochet of her bags.
SARA LASHAY
Handmade Jewellery – @sara_lashay
Sara Lashay sums up her jewellery brand as a feminine, whimsical and contemporary romance. Her pieces are as beautiful on their own as mixed up together as seen on the display below. While gold is the common denominator to all of them, her designs play with turquoise, black and white stones, beads, sequins and all are equipped with an extender chain enabling you to modify the length of the jewel according to what you are wearing. From delicate earrings and necklaces to colourful bracelets or rings, her latest collection is worth a good look. Sara Lashay will also soon be moving forward to larger statement pieces. A brand to keep in mind !
STEFANIA VAIDANI
Greek Resort-wear – @stefaniavaidani
Greek designer Stefania Vaidani launched her brand in 2015 after graduating from Institue Marangoni. Pynck fell in love with her designs for they were young, new, relatively abordable, detail-orientated and a prime example of prodigious printmaking. Vaidani uses leather, silk, satin, velvet, tweed and coton on miscellaneous time-travelling garments from the 60’s, 7O’s or even the 40’s. Do not be scared off by the highly stylised prints as they are absolutely gorgeous and channel a magical spirit rarely seen in fashion. They are also astoundingly wearable !
