Scoop International A/W 2020

Feel free to share:

Pynck returned to Scoop International this year at its new location of Old Billingsgate Market. Exhibitors ranged from jewellers and handbag retailers to an all-natural French toothpaste brand.

Most noticeable of the autumn/winter trends was the prominence of cashmere and other knitwear. Several cashmere brands were present, such as Absolut Cashmere and Cocoa Cashmere. Brown and beige hues are also undoubtedly the colours of the season; typically perceived as less vibrant and exciting, at Scoop this year these colours represented a return to the classic autumnal chic. For example, Danish brand Sand Copenhagen makes great use of natural brown and beige to capture its minimalist, natural ethos. Combine two trends at once with their cashmere coat in camel.

However, sensible winterwear wasn’t all that was on offer at this year’s Scoop exhibit. Maison Labiche introduced an elegant alternative to the slogan tee, with its French logos offering a certain quirkiness to the classic red sweatshirt.

Elie Saab also brightened the exhibit with a selection of alluring floral dresses, contradicting the assumption that floral patterns are only for spring. Paired with black tights and a pair of chunky biker boots, these dresses are the perfect pick-me-up for the fall season.

For outerwear, look no further than the wonderfully creative Oofwear. Inspired by pop artist Edward Ruscha, no brand had a brighter, more colourful, or more appealing exhibit when it came to oversized puffer jackets.
