My sentiment and inspiration for this week is UNITY, a realization that we are all in this together, one world united by the same challenges. To hear that countries, experts and communities are supporting one another is hugely positive as we find our way through this uncertain path.
I often put a knot or two in the collections but in this instance the knots represent a tie that binds us but also supports. Each piece is knotted to the next, each part really counts and has an important role to play in the design, a metaphor for how we are all united at this time. The blue is symbolic of a denim fabric, which I chose for its universal and democratic appeal, worn by all ages, all people, all over the world. The heel has extra volume suggesting the solidity and strength we need to be resilient.
