DEAR READERS,
We have a distinctly educational feel to our latest newsletter. I have been so inspired by the stories that our readers and ABT members have been sharing with us about the new skills and treatments they’ve learnt over lockdown, the business acumen they’ve gained from mentors and experts, and even the new hobbies that have been acquired!
As well highlighting some fantastic business articles on risk assessing ahead of returning to work on 20th July, and how mobile therapists might want to prepare (although we don’t yet have a date for when this will be possible), in this newsletter we’ve a full section on the most recently launched online courses.
Whether it’s nail skills, body treatments, skincare or hair care, majority of the leading educators have found a way to offer online education, whether that’s teaching and assessing via Zoom, sharing workshops via Facebook Live, or providing links to ‘how to’ films on YouTube. I’m really proud of how our industry has adapted to ensure that you stay up-to-date and relevant, giving you the best opportunity of success when you reopen.
ABT also adapted quickly to ensure that training providers could quickly gain Online Accreditation and now there are around 700 courses accredited by ABT for online delivery via Zoom, Skype or similar, with numbers growing daily. A massive thanks must go to the ABT Accreditation team for working non-stop to get these courses accredited under the difficult circumstances we’re all working in.
