Irish tennis professional James Cluskey has penned his debut book about how to gain the advantage in business and sport

Filled with practical tips and insights from his remarkable business career and on the tennis court, the Irish Davis Cup player and Guinness World Record holder passionately believes in shared accountability only with a partner, willing to keep a close eye on plans and goals.

‘Advantage’ charts a journey through tennis and business, the development of the High Calibre Collective enterprise of up to 15 chief executives brainstorming together to specialising in keynote messages. The new book by James Cluskey also peers into his remarkable relationship with entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, gained while coaching tennis on the billionaire’s privately owned Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.

“Success in sport and business is so interchangeable and a lot of the same lessons can be brought to business,” said James Cluskey. “Set goals, make daily lists on what you need to do, target small wins which give you huge confidence and crucially keep your goals to the absolute fore of your mind.”

Born in Dublin, Ireland, the 33-year-old wrote his new book for anyone working to set and achieve life goals while learning to adapt and improve along the way to reach the top. Personal tragedy, before he turned professional galvanised him to set goals and achieve the success he craved.

“‘Advantage’ is a guide for anyone looking to get to grips with their life goals and vision and perform at the top of their game in life, in sport, in business,” he explained. “Learn the secrets behind setting yourself a challenging goal, then persevering, adapting and improving until you achieve it, on how to reach the top, learn from the best and leverage your networks.”

Published by Panoma Press, the debut book by James McCluskey is available from Amazon in paperback or on Kindle.
