Irish tourism businesses sign up for Covid-19 Safety Charter
THERE are hundreds upon hundreds of Irish tourism and hospitality businesses signed up for the Covid-19 Safety Charter, and more are applying for the programme with its distinctive logo every day.
Ireland’s new campaign was rolled out by Faílte Ireland in association with the National Tourism Development Authority at the end of last June to boost public confidence in the safety of tourism sector businesses.
The Covid-19 Safety Charter is part of a package that includes the new ‘Ireland, make a break for it’ domestic marketing campaign.
“Almost nine in 10 want to ensure that the appropriate safety measures are in place if they are to consider taking a domestic break in Ireland this year said Faílte Ireland CEO Paul Kelly. “Our new domestic marketing campaign will encourage people to book a break while our Covid-19 Safety Charter will reassure them that the tourism and hospitality businesses they visit have committed to adhere to the correct safety measures and hygiene protocols.”
