HORSE racing’s elite runners are aiming this Saturday, 17th October for the QIPCO British Champions Day, the prestigious one-day flat meeting with four Group 1 races for the best-of-the-best deciders.

The elite field is expected to include Group 1 season winners Stradivarius, Dream of Dreams, Magical, Palace Pier and Mishriff to run respectively in the Long Distance Cup, Sprint, Fillies and Mares Stakes, Queen Elizabeth “” Stakes and the Champion Stakes.

Hong Kong Jockey Club and UK Tote Group have together formed part of a global betting pool for greater liquidity as racing fans from around the world bet in a single pool on British racing’s richest meeting. Racecourse Media Group (RMG) will deliver the media and betting rights with the first race of the day off at 1.20pm GMT+1.

We are excited about the potential and delighted to partner with Hong Kong Jockey Club’s World Pool.”

Participating racing nations including the UK, Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, South Africa and the USA in betting into a single pool have opened greater liquidity for racing fans with wagers growing almost 50 percent to £137 million over last year’s £92.2 million.
