Postponed PB London exhibition avoids last minute cancellation concerns
THE team behind the Professional Beauty London event which was to be held in the ExCel have taken the decision to postpone until next May.
The decision follows consultation with UK coronavirus guidance officials, who advised that should there be a surge in the number of cases of Covid-19 in London, organisers would be forced to cancel the event.
The Professional Beauty London exhibition was due to take place from Saturday 11th October to Sunday 12th at the Excel London, presenting a variety of programmes to trade and professional visitors.
PB London Managing Director Mark Moloney said, “The team and I had worked to create a show for 2020 that was safe and would provide the inspiration and education it was renowned for. However, with no practical commitment by the authorities we may have been forced to pull the October event at short notice and we are not prepared to put our visitors or exhibitors through unnecessary cost with the genuine prospect of last-minute cancellation.”
Popular programmes including business and digital skills and live stage seminars with industry experts have been rescheduled to take place next May, Saturday and Sunday 16th-17th. Events also rescheduled include the Professional Beauty North show in Manchester, which will be held next September and the Professional Beauty & Hairdressers Journal show, which was to take place in Dublin Ireland, rescheduled to next November.
“I know some of you will be sad, some relieved but overall I hope you agree that this decision is in the best interests of the profession,” added Mark Moloney.
