The online awards to be presented to a shortlist of finalists will recognise entries from spas, hair and beauty salons and aesthetics chosen from among the best in the industry.

“Holding the Professional Beauty Awards as a virtual event will allow a much-needed opportunity for the industry to come together and celebrate the businesses that have worked harder than ever this year to keep standards high and prove the beauty and spa industry is innovative, resilient and essential for wellbeing,” said Professional Beauty editor Eve Oxberry. “The virtual Professional Beauty Awards will be streamed live on our Facebook page at 7.45pm on Tuesday, December 8. All finalists, judges and sponsors have been notified and invited to join the platform for a networking drinks reception ahead of the presentation.”

Among the awards to be presented will be two new categories in the Spa/Salon Leader of the Year and the Spa/Salon Team of the Year. Additional categories include Employer of the Year, Therapist of the Year, Nail Salon of the Year and the best among regional salons.

Sponsors this year include Elemis, Dermalogica, Phorest Salon Software, Biologique, Crystal Clear International and Hidden Beauty UK. Awards will also be presented to the Boutique Spa of the Year, Large Spa of the Year, Boutique Salon and Large Salon of the Year.

Commenting on the postponed from last June due to Covid-19 restrictions Eve Oxberry said: “I would like to thank our finalists and sponsors for being so patient as changing Covid-19 guidelines caused delays to the event. I look forward to celebrating in style with everyone on December 8.”
