Doors open to spectators at Ascot December meeting

SPECTATORS return to Ascot Racecourse for the December Meeting and while attendance numbers will be strictly ticketed on a first come, first serve basis hospitality will be available alongside and away from the course. One of the key races this Friday, 18 December will be when Soaring Glory and Dusart face off once again in the Grade 2 Sky Bet Supreme Trial Novices Hurdle. In Friday’s Swinley Novices Chase the one to watch will be Sky Bet 2/1 favourite Fitddlerontheroof. Gates open at Ascot Racecourse at 10.45am GMT and the first race will be off at 12.45pm GMT.

The feature race this Saturday (19 December) will be The Porsche Long Walk Hurdle where Paisley Park will run in the prestigious long-distance race. Look for Buzz in the Betfair Exchange Trophy handicap hurdle as the one to watch; the Sky Bet 5/1 favourite will run in the last race of Saturday’s card over two miles. Gates open at 10.45am GMT and the first race will be off at 12.40pm GMT.

The December Meeting at Ascot will be televised on Sky Sports Racing, and the main races will be shown on ITV.
