THE British Horseracing Authority has confirmed changes to 2021 race conditions in the St James’s Place Foxhunter Challenge Cup Open Hunters Chase at the Cheltenham Festival and the Randox Foxhunters Open Hunters Chase at Aintree. The changes consider lost qualifications due to point-to-point amateur racing cancellations in Ireland and Britain stemming from Covid-19 restrictions. Full amateur race conditions for both Cheltenham Festival races will be available shortly on https://www.pointtopoint.co.uk.

TOP Irish racehorse trainer Willie Mullins has sent his first Irish-trained runner to Britain since the end of the transition period, meaning that Grangee has left the European Union and can re-enter without a fuss. The racehorse required an advanced health certificate from the Irish Department of Agriculture to exit Ireland and travelled safely with a qualified transport company on a temporary admission document.
