EMPWRMNT is a global movement combining sustainable fashion with a purpose, founded by London-based Swedish-Lebanese Sustainable fashion designer, Nathalie Ballout and co-founded by human rights expert Jamaica Noferini. Nathalie Ballout of EMPWRMNT designs beautifully embroidered sustainable handbags made from upcycled denim that is being produced in collaboration with the incredible women of Alsama Studio. Watch Nathalie’s powerful video here. Designer Deborah Sawaf of Thalé Blanc creates elegant luxury handbags, apparel, jewelry and accessories. Her sophisticated new line of handbags was inspired by Audrey Hepburn. Powerhouse and long time sustainability innovator and eco pioneer Marci Zaroff shared, “Challenge and opportunity go hand in hand.” She turned around her factory closures due to the pandemic into a QVC partnership with her new brand Seed to Style which carries sizes 000-XXXL and is crafted from 100% organic cotton. “If you’re not in the sustainable game, you’re out of the game.”-Marci Zaroff. Marci’s most recent book, EcoRenaissance  is available through QVC.

Fashinnovation new companies pitching to experts and investors. 2-11-21.JPG

For anyone thinking about bringing a new concept or product to market, this segment is definitely worth watching. Representatives of four new companies spoke about their new products and pitched their brands to the experts. The response of Symone Lewis of Shoulderbare, a new product that keeps off-the-shoulder tops securely in place, was priceless when investor Gary Wassner, (of Project Runway) told her she had identified a product that solves a problem and was interested in her brand.
