IF you have been looking to get into racing then you can’t go wrong by getting into the Cazoo Derby when all eyes will be on Epsom Downs UK this Friday and Saturday, 4-5 June. There are 14 races on the card including one of the world’s greatest flat races, and there aren’t all that many that are as prestigious as main races on Oaks Day followed by Derby Day.

While entry tickets are sold out there are a limited number of bookings still available at Epsom’s award-winning restaurants or in intimate private boxes. Reservations are filling up fast and it is worth having a look at the season’s racecards and booking before it’s too late.

Get your own ‘Sweepstake’ together with family and friends at home and the At Home Sweepstake pack

There is extra fun at The Cazoo Derby Day to be had at home on Saturday 5 June when you create your own ‘Sweepstake’. Follow the online instructions @TheJockeyClub to print and complete your Sweepstake pack by filling in the names of the runners and cutting out the racecard forms you create. Draw the completed forms from a hat or bucket and when all runners have been selected, settle down to watch the main race at 4.30pm BST.

In preparation for your day at The Cazoo Derby watch the winners on video from the last 50 years, including famous household names such as Shergar and Galileo to find out what makes a Derby winner.
