Bright Eyeliner: David Koma AW21

Feel free to share:

The collaboration between designer David Koma and make-up genius Pablo Rodrigues, Director of Artistry at Illamasqua, ensured the delivery of an incredible fashion show debuting Koma’s gorgeous AW22 collection.

The make-up star of the show however had to be Rodrigues’s bright pop of eyeliner which he used to complement the dynamism of Koma’s collection. The bright blues and greens are immediately eye catching. Rodrigues then paired it with black kohl eyeliner in order to create a “double decker” eyeliner look, a term coined by Krista Thurrott, in order to ensure maximum impact of eye definition.

You can achieve the exact same look thanks to Pablo and his fabulous collection at Illamasqua. To start, go in with the colour of your choice chosen from the collection of Colouring Eye pencils and apply across the whole of your top lash line aiming to keep it soft and blended. The same again for the bottom lash line. Once you are happy with the shape and tone of your colour liner apply a thin line of black eye liner into the shape of a wing. Finish the look with Illamasqua’s Masquara to add length and volume to your lashes.

Equally, you can experiment with different colours with Illamasqua’s Experimental Artistry Pallette. Mix your chosen shade with the Illamasqua Sealing Gel to create a liquid liner and then take an angled brush and begin to apply to your top lash line. Shape as you wish and finish with the same black eyeliner.

If you want to add a bit of sparkle however, Pynck would suggest checking out Charlotte Tilbury’s Eye Colour Magic Liner Duo which comes in gold, green, blue and maroon. The perfect amount of sparkle especially as we head towards the festive season!

Now with a bold eye, Pablo Rodrigues go for simple skin and a tinted lipgloss. He achieved the look with Illamasqua’s Satin Primer to start and then applying Skin Base Foundation. Blend it well so that the skin appears as natural as possible. He then applied Gel Sculpt to subtly contour the face by applying to the cheek bones and jaw line. For the finishing touch add a sweep of Illamasqua’s Loaded Lip Polish for the pièce de résistance!
