We’ve featured many emerging designers in the Future Edit since its launch, but up until now, they’ve been creating clothes for the physical world. This week, we’re spotlighting a new generation of fashion designers, making millions of dollars from virtual fashion, designed to be worn in metaverses such as Roblox, Fortnite or Decentraland.
I sat down with three of digital design’s leading names: Samuel Jordan, Blueberry and Republiqe, to understand how they built their high-growth businesses, balancing their own collections with growing demand from brands including Stella McCartney, Coach and Adidas.
