Visit Ireland’s largest and longest running exhibition of visual arts. The 193rd RHA Annual Exhibition, in our 200th year, is now open, seven days a week, until the 30th July.
Opening Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri & Sat 11am – 5pm; Wed 11am – 6:30pm & Sun 12-5pm

Kids’ Art Workshop – Future Museums
Sun 11 June, 2-3:30pm
Join Sheila McCarron for a special kids’ art workshop in response to our 193rd Annual Exhibition, celebrating the RHA’s 200th anniversary. Taking inspiration from the architectural drawings and models on display in the Annual Exhibition, participants will sketch out ideas for “future museums” and then work on building them into reality.
Sunday 11 June, 2-3.30pm. Age group: 5-10 years. Cost: €15 per child.

Architectural Presidents is the title of a new exhibition, as part of our 200th anniversary celebrations, now showing at the Irish Architectural Archive on Merrion Square. The exhibition features portraits and the work of the six architects who have served as President of the RHA: Francis Johnson, Sir Thomas Drew, Sir Thomas Deane, Raymond McGrath, Arthur Gibney and Des McMahon.

We’re delighted to bring the RHA Friends on a tour of the ‘Ireland Glass Biennale 2023’ with exhibition juror, artist & educator Karen Donnellan in the Coach House Gallery, Dublin Castle. There is a small fee of €5 per RHA Friend to join this tour.
RHA SCHOOL
New Diploma Award in Painting & Drawing
Applications Now Open
We are delighted to announce that at a recent validation meeting with TU Dublin, the RHA School course has been extended to 60 credits creating a new Diploma Award in Painting and Drawing. We are currently seeking to recruit both past RHA School students and new entrants to the new course.
This will include 4 new modules that will be offered in the 2023 – 2024 academic year. There are two new 10-credit modules entitled Drawing Resolution and Painting Resolution which will run from September to May. Students on these 30-week modules will work towards an exhibition to be held in the RHA School and coincide with the RHA Annual exhibition with the guidance of a personal tutor.
Two new Mentored Modules (Painting II and Drawing II) with new tutors including Aideen Barry ARHA, Ciara Roche, Joy Gerrard ARHA and Gabhann Dunne, will be launched in January 2024.

Art Therapy Six Week Summer Group

The RHA is delighted to announce a six week art therapy summer group, facilitated by art therapist Andrea Clare Plunkett. This group will meet here on Sundays over the six week period.
