At the risk of insulting the fashion industry, which I love, I have to ask, why are we all accepting that naked fashion, seen on hundreds of runways is acceptable street wear? Millions of women and girls are devoted followers of fashion trends. When they see a celebrity such as Kim Kardashian wear next to nothing while walking down the street, what they cannot see are her bodyguards, just out of the photos snapped by the paparazzi. What do you think would happen if a young woman is waiting at the bus stop in stockings, a garter belt and sheer dress, without the protection of bodyguards? The United Nations has declared that violence against women is a human rights violation of pandemic proportions. Let’s all be smart and safe; enjoy the beautiful lingerie at home. Please.
