The IFI’s flagship festival, the IFI French Film Festival, returns, bringing the best of current French cinema to audiences along with a slate of beloved classics.
Delighted to present a programme of films by celebrated French director Leos Carax, and are honoured to welcome him to the IFI for post-screening Q&As, as well as an in-conversation event on Sat 18th (12.30), Leos Carax: In Conversation.
New releases in this year’s programme include Strangers by Night, wherein a chance encounter between two strangers is the catalyst for a surprising connection, screening Fri 17th and Fri 24th; Homecoming, where a mother and her daughters journey to Corsica and uncover truths about their family’s past, screening Sun 19th and Weds 22nd; The Plough, screening Mon 20th, sees a family of puppeteers forced to reconcile their passion in the face of modernity; and Les Indésirables, screening Tues 21st and Sun 26th, focuses on racist housing policies and some of the most divisive social issues of our time.
Due to popular demand, an extra screening of Voyages en Italie has been added on Sat 25th at 13.15.
