Out and about at the Galway Races
THE well-known town of Ballybrit explodes with visitors in July each year for the Galway Races Summer Festival, attracting people from all over Galway and Ireland and from abroad to one of the most popular events in the Irish racing calendar.
Stay at the quaint Ardawn House on College Road in Galway, which is near enough to Ballybrit to make little or no difference. The town itself is located on the outskirts of Galway City, and transport links during the summer festival are conveniently made.
All-in packages including accommodation, transport to and from race meetings at Galway Racecourse and meals are widely available online, and direct-sale including race card and meals offer unrivalled views where some of the best are from the viewing stands.
