Last week SVP launched its Annual Appeal and we wanted to thank all of you who have supported us so far – your donation this time of year is an outstretched hand to those most in need.

You are in esteemed company as well, as also joining us at the launch event to show their support of the Annual Appeal were radio and TV presenters Marty Whelan, Mary Kennedy and Doireann Garrihy. We wanted to share this video of the event with you so you can see why the work of the Society is so important to them. 

Sadly, at the launch event, we also highlighted our expectations that calls this year are on course to exceed last year’s record of 250,000. It’s a stark figure. 

On the end of the line of every single one of those calls is someone struggling with basic needs and wondering if they will have a Christmas at all this year.

We need the help of supporters like you to respond to as many people as possible. Each donation, no matter how big or small, could be just what another family needs to get them through this winter.
