A Lyric Theatre Production
Our New Girl
Tue 8 Apr – Sun 4 May 2025
Written by Nancy Harris
Directed by Rhiann Jeffrey
Main Stage
From the acclaimed writer of The Dry comes Our New Girl – a wickedly sharp psychological thriller about parenthood, how families function (or dysfunction) and modern living.
Beneath the polished façade of Hazel Robinson’s pristine home lies a world of fractures and hidden tensions. Her husband is absent again, and she is left alone and pregnant, with her young son, Daniel, who is deeply troubled. Just as she begins to feel the weight of her life closing in, a young and confident nanny, Annie, unexpectedly arrives at the door which makes Hazel start questioning herself and her sanity.
This is one show you won’t want to miss. Forget the screen, this is live theatre at its most gripping!

Tim McGarry ”Ridiculous”
Sun 27 April 2025
Written by Tim McGarry
Main Stage
Tim McGarry’s Ridiculous returns to the Lyric Main Stage, a new stand-up comedy show performed by Tim McGarry.
Tim’s father advised him to “always have a sense of your own ridiculousness”. But let’s face it, we’re all taking ourselves too seriously these days. Tim examines life, politics and the modern world looking for the ludicrous, highlights the hilarious and laughs out loud at the frankly ridiculous. Just remember, you can look ridiculous, you can feel ridiculous, you can be ridiculous!
This vibrant new production brings Oscar Wilde’s iconic characters and unforgettable one-liners to life, offering a fresh take on a play that continues to captivate audiences over a century after its debut.
From our Drama Studio cohort of 2025, comes Nell Gwynn, charting the rise of an unlikely heroine, who became one of Britain’s most celebrated new ‘actresses’ and the mistress of the King.
