Hello and welcome to this week’s happenings at the IFI!
The Kingdom and Young Hearts open with us this weekend while Sense and Sensibility returns to our big screen for it’s 30th anniversary.
Also screening this week are previews of Materialists, Celine Song’s follow up to Past Lives.
Special events this week include our Irish Focus screening of Dreamtown on Thursday 14th, and our mini-season Jane Arden: A New Communion featuring screenings of Separation on Saturday 9th, The Other Side of Underneath on Sunday 10th, and the double bill Viration/Anti-Clock on Wednesday 13th.

Mickey Richards (Anthony Murphy), a delusional, ageing rocker who never realised his dreams, decides it’s time to reconnect with his adult son Alan (Cian Hyland), but his clumsy attempts to impress only drive a deeper wedge between them.
This screening will be followed by a Q&A with writer/director Steven McKenna, lead actor Anthony Murphy, and cinematographer Jaro Waldeck.
