The New, Most Anticipated Movies; Carrie Bradshaw’s Perfect Ending; Princess Anne’s Fashion Flair
MATTHEW LYNCH,
EXECUTIVE EDITOR
With the fall film season rapidly approaching, we’re taking some time today to single out a name you’ll be hearing an awfully lot about: Chase Infiniti. The young star will go toe-to-toe with Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn in Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another. Rebecca Ford catches her on the rise. Most anticipated movies by vanity fair.
Elsewhere today, we catalogue more movies to watch out for this autumn; Walton Goggins discusses his varied, and currently white-hot, career (including one of your newsletter writer’s favorite ever hours of TV, the Justified pilot); and an appreciation of Princess Anne’s singular style. More on Monday…
BY REBECCA FORD
What do Leonardo DiCaprio, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Elisabeth Moss have in common? Chase Infiniti playing their daughter on a screen near you. Paul Thomas Anderson saw “every young woman in the United States and beyond” before picking Infiniti for his epic One Battle After Another. Her audition process included a chemistry read with DiCaprio, a particularly surreal experience. “I had a period in my high school years where I was obsessed with the movie Catch Me If You Can, and I would watch it all the time,” she says. “So seeing him in real life, it was a crazy full-circle moment.”
VF’s Rebecca Ford sits down with the star amidst her meteoric rise.
