The Dolce and Gabbana Alta Moda Couture Show, Spring 2017, Milan
After the Haute Couture shows in Paris last week, destinations changed for the Dolce and Gabbana Alta Moda Couture show which took place in Milan.
In what looked like a set heavily inspired by Beauty and the Beast, the fashion was influenced and inspired by the opera and historical costume.
With stunning (but over the top) pieces signature to Dolce and Gabbana, the collection included sequined gowns, baroque embroidery and the odd pop of denim in jeans and jackets. Textures were really diverse, with leather, lace, fur, heavy embellishment and silks.
We also saw many headdresses, which have seemed to be trending across couture fashion week this season. Crowns, embellished hats and flowers were all worn (sometimes together).
