Milan Fashion Designer – Massimo Giorgeti

Feel free to share:

Massimo Giorgeti is an Italian born and a Milan based fashion designer. He is hailed as the one of the most promising fashion designers to break out into the international stage from the worlds fashion hub, Milan, Italy.

Born in Rimini in 1977, although fashion right from an early age was always a part of his life and calling; Massimo Giorgetti did not plough the conventional route into attaining relevance in the fashion industry.

Unlike his peers he studied accountancy, and shortly after completing his exams started working in retail, for prestigious boutiques and show rooms in Riccione, Italy. Working as floor salesman, contributed to developing his experience and expertise in the fashion commercial environment.

Identifying a need that was not satisfied in the market for a modern Italian brand with an affordable price point for both men and women alike ultimately inspired the birth of his burgeoning MSGM fashion label in 2009 amidst a global recession.Giorgetti in partnership with the Paolini group launched the MSGM fashion line out of Milan.

MassiomoGiorgetti worked as a professional Dj for many years, and cites music as his major influence in his fashion design choices. As a skilled disc jockey, he is able to blend and bring to life passion, artistry and aesthetic expressions through his designs and collections. His draws inspiration from other brands like; Yves Saint Laurent, Coco Channel & Walter Albini, to name a few.

The results are psychedelic colors, bold prints, shapes and color mash ups and blocking that could only be described perfectly in his very own wordsas “music for your eyes.”

In 2010 the brand won the coveted “Who Is on Next” award courtesy of Vogue Italia and AltaRoma. Massimo Giorgetti was also appointed in 2015 as the creative director of Emilio Pucci.

His innovative approach to reinventing Italian fashion has made MSGM one of the most intriguing brands with presence in over 300 stores across the world, and a current valuation price tag of $45 million.
