Florence gets it’s Guccification – Gucci Cruise 2018
Gucci Cruise 2018 – Florence
Guccify yourself!
After the most coveted gucci T-shirt sold out last season despite it’s heft price tag, Alessandro Michele is back with another scorcher collection! This time the Gucci Cruise 2018 which was showcase in Florence last month.
There has been a bit of cruise show competition with designers, with locations becoming more and more extravagant (think Dior in the desert this year, and Chanel’s memorable Cuba cruise show a few years ago). But this year, Gucci chose Florence’s Palazzo Pitti and this show was 100% one for the books.
With invites in the form of custom Gucci baseball caps, and exclusive tours through the Vasari Corridor (closed to visitors), the show took on a sort of strange street style / renaissance vibe. But it worked. Somehow.
The collection featured lots of embellishment, and pearls as well as stunning bomber jackets and re-vamped Guccy logos. That wasn’t a typo, check the images below! Well done Michele we salute you!
