Spring 2018 Collection – Paris Fashion Week
Maria Grazia Chiuri does it again with a stunning collection for the house of Christian Dior at Paris Fashion week. Famed for her feminist themes through previous collections, the latest edition is on par with her previous work. We see the return of the slogan tee, which sent high street stores frantically producing “feminist” t-shirts last time around, all thanks to Chiuri.
Steering back towards the collection Spring 2018 collection, the colour palette is mainly blue, similarly to the previous Dior collection shown earlier this year. Perhaps the blue is a result of all the denim used in the collection, so is it safe to say denim will be trending next season? So thats leather AND denim now. Keep a note of these and you’re sure to be ahead of the game come next season.
There is also a lot of monochromatic looks which we also saw in the latest Saint Laurent Collection and a racing jumpsuit, similar to the vibes over in New York at the Ralph Lauren show. But if you really are wanting to channel a bit of Chiuri’s Dior next season, just think “what would a Parisienne wear” and you’ll hit the nail on the head.
