Galway Fashion Week – Millinery Designer of the Year

Millinery designers were on show, attempting to win the Millinery Designer of the Year Award. The following designers were competiting to claim the title:

• Wendy Louise Designs
• Freya Ann Oatway (FAO Millinery)
• Leonora Ferguson
• Michelle Kearns

Leonora Ferguson graduated from NCAD. Highlights for her commissions include Madame Tussauds, and the V&A headpiece worn by Cara Delevigne and her new collection takes inspiration from Japanese textiles and theatre.

Michelle Kearns was also chosen for Brown Thomas’ Create which showed her designs both nationally and internationally.
