Trend Talk: Lace

Another big trend this week for the upcoming Spring Summer is Lace. Hopefully the cold snowy weather is behind us and we can begin curating our wardrobes for warmer weather, and we are super excited to begin incorporating some beautiful, delicate lace pieces into our looks.

As per usual, we have come up with three looks in which we have inserted the trend. We have the casual look first, followed by a dressed up look and lastly our layering look.

Casual

Playing with pastels contrasted against black, we have paired this beautiful lace shirt underneath a millennial pink cashmere knit. To be worn with the collar and cuffs poking out to show off the lace. Then to keep things casual, we have added a pair of cropped Levi’s and a super trendy belt bag, and comfy sneakers. Perfectly put together, yet still off duty.

Dressy

Next we have gone for a classic midnight blue and black look. Perfect for drinks with the girls. We chose this modern skirt, with lace peeping through from Self Portrait, and a Black Cashmere Knit. Great for while the weather is still a little bit chilly. Then we have finished off the look with some YSL statement heels and an edgy Stella McCartney bag.

Layered

Here we have yet again layered a knit over the top of a lace shirt. Make sure to wear the cuffs and collar out the top and sleeves to ensure the lace detail shows. Then we have added in a leather skirt to be worn with knee high boots. Lastly throw on an oversized trench, which is also very on trend this season, and grab a classic black handbag to match the boots. We love this one from Mulberry.
