BT Galway Fashion Show Autumn Winter 2019 – Charity Fashion Showcase
It ‘s that time of year, coats and jumpers and wool dresses. Also eveningwear with sophistication was reflected in the fabulous glamour presented by Brown Thomas Charity Fashion Showcase at the Glenlo Abbey Hotel, Galway. Fashion in darker tones for winter was sprinkled with lighter whites and turquoises as well as the usual Autumnal rusts, amber and some outfits in bronzed metallic colours. Whilst neutrals (camel coat and jumper), a few tweeds (black and white) jacket and dresses were represented, a varied array of colours and yet still delicate printed winter dresses were shown. Labels from 20 designers like Ganni, Max Mara and Peter Pilotto.
The traditional black dress stood out with varying designs from clinging draped jersey to ‘smocklike’ silhouettes showing gathers and folds. However there were many classic dresses in deep colours in draped fabrics that would last a lifetime in any wardrobe.
The Glenlo Abbey Hotel started with a champagne reception, then the BT fashion Show and followed by a lunch overlooking the magical surrounds of this fine Galway Hotel accompanied by music, special guests and finishing later with entertainment by the Rascals. All this was in partnership with charities: NBCRI, Croi and Rosabel’s Rooms.
We will certainly be keeping a close eye on these brands going into the future, so expect to see more coverage of them soon! In the meantime, you can see upcoming Brown Thomas events in the “What’s On” section of their website: https://www.brownthomas.com/.
