CMRF Crumlin – watch your support in action [VIDEO]
When doctors discovered that premature baby Grace Morkan had a heart defect, she was raced to CHI at Crumlin for heart surgery. She was only nine days old.
Her parents followed behind the ambulance, leaving Grace’s twin sister Juliette in hospital in Cork, and her older brother Leo at home in Kerry.
“There wasn’t any time to think. We were all in survival mode,” her mother remembers.
I’ve shared Grace’s story with you in the post, but if you haven’t had a chance to read it yet, you can see how she’s doing now by watching the video below.
if it wasn’t for your support, countless children such as little Grace may not have had such a fighting chance.
This Christmas season, over 5,500 sick children will walk through the doors of CHI at Crumlin. They need skilled doctors, nurses and care teams. They need research and clinical trials into kinder, gentler treatments. They need state-of-the-art equipment and therapies.
Most of all, they need YOU.
As we enter this festive season of giving, will you help us do whatever it takes, for however long it takes, to give every sick child a fighting chance?
