Château la Nerthe has been around even longer than us; but this 16th-century property remains at the forefront of Châteauneuf-du-Pape today. Farming organically, the team works with all 13 of region’s permitted grapes, using a gentle touch in the winery to craft elegant wines.
In 2018 – a particularly warm vintage – this approach was key. Instead of the high-alcohol powerhouses found elsewhere, Château la Nerthe’s 2018s offer perfume and poise – and they’re now available en primeur.
