RHA Gallery - RHA E-Bulletin Monday 30 March

Hello from the RHA

I hope that this message finds you and your nearest and dearest well and beginning to adapt to the new demands of living to ensure that we as a society flatten the threatening rise of the Covid-19 pandemic. Social distancing, limiting contacts, and hand washing, while acts of self-protection are also gestures of caring – these challenging days, we literally hold the care of each other in our hands.

With all cultural institutions closed we have seen a huge wave of innovative and creative uses of social media to reach out and keep connected with art and artists. Indeed as with all options web based there is a plethora of choice. We have decided to limit our embrace to once a week. Every Monday the RHA will issue an e-bulletin with options including virtual tours of exhibitions, a lecture, suggestions by staff of other websites and a newsy item or two. I hope you can make a date in your diary, for these Monday connections.

The staff of the RHA are working remotely and we are all discovering the potential of the software ZOOM to conduct meetings from our individual homes. This will also aid us to maintain the oversight and the governance of the RHA as we negotiate the challenges that lie in our immediate future and ahead, beyond this crisis, as we re-weave normality into our social fabric.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any queries or suggestions.

Stay safe and well
