This classic Sancerre is made exclusively for us by Sophie and Thierry Merlin-Cherrier. They – the fourth generation of their family to make wine – have been quietly making superb Sauvignon Blanc in this corner of the Loire since the 1980s.
The 2018 vintage was defined by its warmth, producing wines of beautiful ripeness – but this still offers all the vibrant freshness that is the appellation’s calling card. Savour this mineral and concentrated example alongside goat’s cheese from the region for a sublime pairing.
