Les Vignes Oubliées, or “the forgotten vines” is a project founded by winemaker Jean-Baptiste Granier to celebrate the Languedoc’s remarkable viticultural heritage. He works with parcels of old Grenache, Syrah and Carignan – some of which are over 100 years old – in the hills above Montpellier. Thanks to their deep roots, these vines effortlessly handle the region’s hot, dry climate.

The resulting wines are complex and concentrated, but with wonderful freshness. This, the 2018, offers notes of violets and crushed black pepper alongside ripe cherry and plum fruit. You can savour it now in its youth, but over the coming years it will reveal its savoury depths.

It’s reduced by 40% in our Sale, meaning you can pick up a bottle for only £14.97.
