See the Savage Group Show online at In-Spire Galerie
IN-SPIRE Galerie in Dublin, Ireland has opened a unique online exhibition produced by Irish and international artists, the Savage Group Show featuring a selection of new works shown first at the recent virtual online launch.
Gallery owner and curator, Dino Notaro was at the newly renovated exhibition space for the online launch with Dublin art expert Will Duffy, and the new show opened to limited attendance by the public on Tuesday, 4th August.
“Thank you so much for supporting these amazing artists,” said Dino Notaro at the online opening. “Even though it was just us here in the gallery instead of hundreds and hundreds of people, I do feel connected. By supporting us and supporting the artists we will continue that community feeling. It is a challenging time but there is a sense of togetherness as well.”
Participating artists worked in a variety of media to produce their works for the exhibition, everything from gouache to oil on canvas, acrylic and watercolours. Works were curated at a distance to pandemic social distancing restrictions.
“Everyone in the (gallery) space had to be locked down,” said Will Duffy of the production that started last March. “It was fascinating to work with the artists in respect to the whole situation.”
The online opening and works by participating artists is available online at http://www.inspiregalerie.com or on the gallery’s Facebook page, which includes a selection of videos.
