Aldi Ireland scoops Irish food and drink awards

ALDI Ireland has been scooping up the awards in the food and drink categories, the most recent at the Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards blind taste of over 2,500 Irish products entered across 100 different categories, the largest competition of its kind.

The grocer had already won three awards for its private label product selection at the renowned World of Private Label Salute to Excellence Awards in Amsterdam, earning more wins than any Irish retailer.

Aldi’s Irish suppliers have also earned individual awards in a variety of products from across the country.

“Working with more and more Irish producers is a priority for Aldi as we continue to expand our business in Ireland,” said Aldi Ireland Group Buying Director John Curtin. “We now partner with over 200 of the best Irish food and drink producers across the country, insuring Aldi shoppers get to enjoy the very best Irish-made food at prices that can’t be beaten.”

The food and drink retailer has also won ‘The Green Retailer’ award 2020 as well as 52 titles at the Great Taste Awards.

Aldi Ireland scooped wins at the National Parenting Product Awards, taking home 22 in the product range with 14 from the Mamia brand.
