Led by Sevgi Tüzel-Conghaile, Oenologist & Viticulturist, this Galway based business offers wine tastings, workshops, wine education and wine consultancy, are ideal for both the enthusiast and wine industry professionals. Sevgi’s passion for wine began while she was studying food engineering in one of the wine-producing regions of her native Turkey. Following her graduation, she chased her dreams and started to work as a winemaker in her home country. She obtained her MSc in Oenology & Viticulture from the Montpellier SupAgro in France and Hochschule Geisenheim University in Germany.  Currently, Sevgi provides wine tastings, workshops, wine education and consultancy through her company A WINE IDEA based in Galway. She also runs wine appreciation courses at NUI Galway.
The year started with excitement about new event series and collaborations with local businesses that were due to launch in March. As everyone knows this was not meant to be as COVID-19 put paid to the best laid plans of many people.
