The Fairyhouse Winter Festival Christmas jumper competition
JUST in time for the Fairyhouse Racecourse Winter Festival from 28th to 29th November in County Meath the annual Christmas jumper competition is going virtual in aid of Pieta House, the Irish charity for suicidal distress support.
Virtual racegoers are asked to get into the festive spirit at home by wearing favourite Christmas jumpers shared online on social media channels and at the Fairyhouse Racecourse website.
Pieta House with locations across Ireland has recently introduced free national video counselling, a new service offering support through Covid-19 restrictions.
“Pieta House normally hosts a ‘Darkness into Light’ walk at Fairyhouse and because it cannot go ahead this year we thought it fitting to nominate them as our charity partner,” said Fairyhouse Racecourse Marketing Manager Kate O’Sullivan. “We appreciate any donations to help Pieta House in their important work.”
Register online at the Fairyhouse Racecourse website on Saturday 28th November from 9am to 6pm. The winner will be announced before the first race on Sunday (29th November) when champion Irish jockey Barry Geraghty picks the winning photograph.
“We had so much fun with the Christmas jumper competition over the last couple of years,” added Kate O’Sullivan. “We hope the festive fun continues virtually this year.”
The winner will receive an overnight break for two in the four-star Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa in County Meath Ireland VIP access to Fairyhouse Winter Festival 2021.
All donations to the Fairyhouse Christmas Jumper Competition should be made directly to Pieta House at https://pieta.ie @pietahouse @PietaHouse, Freephone 1800 247 247 or email info@pieta.ie.
