The Mâconnais has become one of Burgundy’s most exciting regions, in no small part down to visionary young producers such as brothers Jean-Philippe and Jean-Guillaume Bret. Their biodynamic wines at Domaine de la Soufrandière are full of personality and offer serious value relative to much white Burgundy.
This St Véran from La Bonnode has distinctive mineral freshness; the brothers no longer use any new oak in the cellar, and they use less and less sulphur dioxide.
