A January update for our Friends

While 2021 may not have begun quite as we had planned, we hope you are keeping well and healthy and finding ways to make the most of these dark and quiet January days.

At the RA, we wrapped up 2020 with high hopes and expectations for the new year ahead – ready to welcome you back with an ambitious programme. Of course, we know now that these plans must wait a bit longer.

Over the coming weeks, we will be working hard to prepare your spring RA Magazine; keep our online shop open; bring you the best creative inspiration online; and crucially, to get our exhibition programme ready for when we can open our doors to you again – considering at every step, how we can make the return visit to the RA, for our Friends especially, as safe and special as possible!

In the meantime, things will be a little quieter: our phone lines will be open 10am-2pm Monday-Friday, and we may pop into your inbox a little less often.

This week, we’re delighted to be able to open up our Tracey Emin / Edvard Munch exhibition to you at home with our latest virtual tour; and share with you our top picks from last year.

It is no surprise, no secret, how vitally important your membership is to helping secure the RA now, and for the future. We are so aware how committed and patient you are being by sticking with us right now. It is not an understatement to say we simply couldn’t do it without you.

From all of us at the RA: Thank You.

Look after yourselves, and each other. We can’t wait to see you in the spring.
