For Claire Williams, running a skincare business was never part of her plan. But like with many great Irish women her successful business idea, born from a passion and knowledge of natural products, was developed and gathered speed at a kitchen table while juggling raising children and running a home.
Meadows Pure Skincare Straight from the Farm blends their carefully selected ingredients on the farm she shares with her husband, a third-generation dairy farmer, in Co. Wicklow and is where the business originated. After becoming a mother Claire began to struggle with her mental health, eventually being diagnosed with depression and anxiety after returning to work from maternity leave brought everything to a head. During this time Claire attended a workshop for creating your own natural skincare, which not only improved her anxiety and depression but helped her find a solution for her and her son’s dry skin which seemed resistant to every product they tried. The balm she created was soon being requested by friends and family for their friends and families!
